We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Safety professional to join our University Safety Service team within the Estates Directorate. The Assistant Safety Officer will provide advice and guidance on a wide range of health and safety issues.
You will support and assist Safety Officers in providing specialist advice and services, to Faculties, Schools and Directorates to facilitate regulatory compliance and to support the overall objectives of the University Safety Service. The work will be varied, with good opportunities for development.
You will work as part of the Safety Team and will be actively involved in planning, developing and implementing health and safety policies with significant or University wide impact.
You will also be required to develop and deliver safety training programmes to staff and students (where necessary) to meet identified user needs.
