To undertake and display leadership in researchin any aspect of advanced and specialised GIScience, including for example,spatial statistics, geodetics, geomatics and geo-informatics, remote sensingand modelling that complements and enhances research activities acrossdisciplines such as Human and Physical Geography, Archaeology and Planning withinthe School of Natural and Built Environment (SNBE) and the strategic researchpriorities and themes of the wider University as identified in VISION 2020.
In relation to the above, the appointee willbe expected to demonstrate leadership by undertaking or contributing to majorSchool, Faculty or University initiatives aimed at increasing research income;improving postgraduate and post-doctoral experience; and improvinginternational student intake at all levels.
