The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Grade 5 Technician.
The successful candidate will be an active member of the Halo Research Group managed by Professor Michael Tunney and will provide an effective and efficient technical service for ongoing research into various aspects of respiratory disease.
The successful candidate will primarily be working as part of the iABC-consortium (inhaled Antibiotics in Bronchiectasis and Cystic fibrosis) which is developing new antibiotic treatment options for people with Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis. The project will employ a broad range of molecular and conventional microbiological approaches to study changes in airway microbial community composition following antibiotic treatment.

This is a fixed term contract available until 30 June 2023.
Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
