In collaboration with Rolls-Royce, The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Research Fellow to be a highly productive and ambitious member of the QUB and Rolls-Royce collaborative research team, investigating and using computational simulation methods to support structural design of next generation engine and aircraft concepts.
Successful applicants will have responsibilities in independent research, collaborating with the QUB team, and outreach. Direct collaboration with Rolls-Royce will be a key aspect of the role, including regular visits to the company’s state of the art facilities in the UK. You will have extensive opportunity to showcase your work to project partners at regular technical meetings and workshops.
You will become a key member of an interdisciplinary team of experts from Queen’s University Belfast and Rolls-Royce working on this exciting initiative.

This post is fixed term, starting as soon as possible for, 36 months or until 30 November 2026, whichever is sooner. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
