Job description
To be an active member of a tripartite research team, with members in Dublin and USA, using targeted genome editing to enhance genetic resistance to
Mycobacterium bovis
infection in domestic cattle populations. The successful applicant will be responsible for generating bovine induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and differentiating them into macrophages.
They will use a range of molecular biology approaches to genetically modify the cells and investigate their responses to
Mycobacterium bovis
infection.
