Job description
Applications are invited for a number of education-focussed posts to join our community and help us make a positive contribution to teaching and learning in a discipline that is key to tackling the global challenges of our age.
We are looking for passionate and motivated academics with experience of teaching in the broad disciplines of Computer Science and
Software Engineering. We seek candidates who can inspire and motivate students to achieve their best by developing the skills they will need to thrive in the future. In return, you will have access to outstanding teaching facilities and ample opportunity to collaborate with a passionate team of education-focussed academics.
Key duties
Contributing to the teaching and assessment on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Computer Science and Software Engineering.
Advancing best practice through developing better ways of encouraging, supporting and assessing students.
Working to improve relationships and linkage with employers and other education providers (colleges, schools, etc.).
We are seeking candidates with teaching experience in one or more of the following areas:
Contemporary software engineering (e.g. agile/lean, containerisation/virtualisation)
Cyber security
Data analytics and machine learning
Cloud computing
Our staff and students come from all over the world and we strongly believe in an inclusive and supportive work culture. We recognise the changing demands of family life and the need for flexibility in working arrangements to meet these demands.
