Job description
The Tissue Hybridization and Digital Pathology (TH & DP) section of the Precision Medicine Centre of Excellence (PMC) will be managed jointly by the postholder and the Clinical Lead, with joint responsibility for policy and service development and maintaining the required standards of practice. The postholder will provide scientific and
technological
leadership for the section and have staff management responsibility.
The postholder will design, develop and validate tissue hybridization technologies and protocols, and identify digital pathology solutions for clinical use in the context of biomarker and clinical studies and clinical trials. S/he will design new assays and will work closely with the Clinical Lead in TH & DP and Bioinformatics team (when relevant) to clinically validate and deliver these assays.
S/he will also contribute significantly in report, manuscript and grant preparation and writing.
