This is an exciting time to join Queen’s as we embark on the next phase of our development as a university. Our recently launched ten-year plan, Strategy 2030, sets out our ambitions to shape a better world through our education and research and reflects the changing external environment and new opportunities, including those identified in the recently launched Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD).
To help achieve our ambitions we are seeking to expand our Finance Team by recruiting a number of key roles including a Financial and Risk Accountant.
About the Role: You will provide a comprehensive and professional financial accounting service within the University’s Finance Directorate. This includes leading and developing financial accounting services in respect of the University and its subsidiaries and the provision of guidance and support in relation to the University’s risk management, audit and financial governance arrangements.
About You: As a qualified, experienced accountant you will have a sound knowledge of effective risk management processes and expertise in developing internal control systems to ensure probity and accountability for resources.
At Queen’s our people are at the heart of everything we do. As a staff member you will become part of a vibrant organisational culture, which will enable you to thrive, with a continued focus on high performance, your wellbeing, development, engagement and greater opportunities for flexible working.
In return we will provide a great Total Reward Package which includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development
