You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive and professional immigration advice to international students as part of the International Student Support Team. You will be responsible for a case load of international students, providing confidential advice in a group or one to one setting. You will provide this pre entry, on arrival and throughout their studies.
You will pro-actively take responsibility for advising students that are required to make Student Route and Replacement Biometric Resident Permit (BRP) applications, supporting them throughout this process. You will be assisting students and, if applicable, their partner and/or child dependants to accurately complete the online visa application form and advising them in regard to preparing evidential documents for submission. You will also advise students applying under other visa routes, including Short-term Study, Standard Visitor and Start-up.
You will build relationships with Schools within Faculties across the University in order to support the monitoring of and compliance with UKVI attendance engagement requirements. You will be working in collaboration with students, compliance and academic colleagues on an ongoing basis to resolve dificulties for international students where these difficulties may have an impact on the students immigration status and/or the University’s compliance with legislation.
This is a fixed term contract position, available until 2 May 2022.
