The Centre for Public Health (CPH) sits within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen's University Belfast. The Centre aims to advance the health of the public at a regional, national and international level, by increasing knowledge and influencing clinical and public health practice and policy.
We are recruiting for a Research Fellow to join a group led by Professor Nathan Congdon. The successful candidate will design and implement a series of large trials on refractive error, cataract, diabetic eye disease and other ocular conditions, being carried out in China, India and other countries. The Research Fellow will have experience working with and analyzing data from clinical trials.
The successful candidate must have:

Have or be about to obtain a relevant PhD in a subject related to statistics/epidemiology/public health or in a discipline in a related area of professional practice
*
First or upper second class honours degree or equivalent in a discipline in a related area of professional practice
*
At least 3 years' research experience and skills relevant to the subject area e.g. experience of data analyses in epidemiological or public health related studies with relevance to economics or health economics
*
Experience of using data analysis packages
