The research will focus on exploring novel approaches to use emerging memory technologies in system software. These may include but will not be limited to language, runtime, library, compiler, or operating system approaches to data placement, consistency, and persistence in memory systems based on emerging heterogeneous and non-volatile memory technologies. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Dimitrios Nikolopoulos and will be a Research Fellow of the Queen's Global Research Institute on Electronics, Communications and Information Technology (ECIT) where they will assist in the development of new research activity and research proposals within the specified area of memory technologies as well as broader areas of research in computer systems software.
