Job description
The Advanced Imaging Core Technology Unit aims to strengthen research capabilities and promote research excellence at Queen's by providing training and access to cutting edge microscopy, imaging equipment, techniques and image analysis. The team offers advice on experimental design to ensure research experiments are accurate and reproducible and
answer the research question. The team work with research teams to develop new techniques and methods which employ the capabilities of the equipment.
The Technician will provide an effective and efficient technical service for users of the facility. The successful candidate will provide training, support, supervision and troubleshooting for end-users regarding all aspects of the microscopy and image analysis systems within the Unit. The Technician will process tissues for histological staining, immunohistochemistry and transmission electron microscopy.
