The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Assistant.
To be an active member of an exciting industry-academia collaborative research programme/team assisting in the development of research protocols, planning and delivery of the research activity in the area of high throughout enzyme screening and assay development, so that the overall research objectives of the project are met. This project involves close collaboration with computational chemists and biologists from Almac and Queen’s, which offers exceptional opportunities to meet industrial clients and participate in knowledge transfer activities.
The successful candidate, will be based primarily at the School of Pharmacy, QUB, but will also be expected to spend time at Almac as required to fulfil the commitments of the post, will be responsible for assay development, screening and characterisation of novel enzymes, establishing and maintaining analytical laboratory capacity and contributing to the day-to-day activities of the research group and research consortium.

This is a fixed term contract, available until 31 March 2023.
Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
