We are recruiting for a Clinical Lecturer in Maternal and Fetal Medicine who will strengthen the clinical academic base of maternal and fetal medicine within the Centre for Public Health, School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) and the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT). The Clinical Lecturer will provide leadership in the delivery and integration of education and research between colleagues in the Trust and University and with students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The Clinical Lecturer will undertake research in line with the School’s research strategy and work closely with academic and clinical colleagues to develop a strong translational research programme. The successful candidate will attract grant funding, publish in high quality journals and supervise PhD and MD students and clinical research fellows. The post holder will contribute to undergraduate medical student teaching and assessment with particular emphasis on maternal and fetal medicine/ obstetrics and participate in School postgraduate programmes.
The Clinical Lecturer will hold an Honorary Consultant contract in BHSCT and will participate in the clinical and research governance framework of the Trust and comply with all legislation relating to the handling and storage of human tissues.
