As part of Belfast Regional City Deal Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC) we are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of AMIC (Campus) Senior Industry Research Fellow to support the development of a high-quality, interdisciplinary research programme. It will work at the interface of AMIC Campus and the AMIC Innovation Centres to translate the University’s research into technology solutions that address industrial challenges.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with an established academic standing and growing international reputation specifically in an advanced manufacturing environment. You will lead on the delivery of the integrated AMIC R&D research portfolio and play a pivotal role in setting and shaping the strategic direction for AMIC Campus. We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills with the ability to galvanise industry - academic engagement that will deliver at scale, innovation projects.
In this pioneering position you will define and develop research activity that will become Northern Ireland’s National Centre for Advanced Manufacturing. You will support the strategic research priorities of AMIC Campus, expanding and diversifying its research portfolio through links with relevant research groups (internal and external), industries, and external bodies, fuelling a pipeline of innovation activity for AMIC’s state-of-the-art “Factory of the Future” flagship facility.
This post is available on a fixed term contract for 5 years.
