Job description
The Centre for Experimental Medicine is an interdisciplinary research centre which is committed to the highest quality scientific endeavour, with over 250 basic and clinical scientists working on site. Our mission is to understand the mechanisms of disease and use that understanding to develop innovative new treatments and therapies to improve patient
outcomes.
We are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician (Full Time or Part Time) who will be a based in a laboratory managed by Dr Imre Lengyel, and will work alongside other staff and students to provide an effective and efficient technical service for various studies in neurodegenerative diseases, especially related to retinal degeneration, in collaboration with researchers in the United Kingdom and across different countries around the world.
Key responsibilities will include isolating, handling and long-term culturing of various primary cells from animal and human according to SOPs and as specified in the protocols and ensuring the proper distribution of samples.
