Lecturer (Education), China Medical University
Job description
The China Medical University-The Queen's University of Belfast Joint College (CQC) was established in the People's Republic of China (PRC) through a long-standing friendship between Queen's School of Pharmacy and the China Medical University (CMU), one of the foremost medical universities in China. CQC is a College that has the full approval from the China
Ministry of Education (MoE) and was created in accord with the MoE 'Cooperation in Running Schools' (CIRS) Regulations.
The first students graduated from CQC in July 2018, with many opportunities thereafter for CQC graduates to enter onto postgraduate courses at Queen's Schools in Belfast. Queen's also operate student exchange programmes in the student's final year in CQC so that our students in Shenyang gain the full Queen's experience.
In addition, CQC is an exciting and highly active centre of research for Queen's within China. CMU has a vibrant research community and Queen's staff are already collaborating and publishing in a number of areas within the health sciences. It is anticipated that this relationship will be further strengthened, allowing Queen's to further improve their international links, and to continue with a programme of world-leading, life-saving research.
Applications are invited for a Lecturer (Education) to deliver effective teaching and learning on the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology pathways, principally at the China Medical University - Queen's University Belfast Joint College (CQC) and to contribute to both QUB and CQC administration, outreach activities and development of the School/College as required. This post is available for 5 years.
