Job description
To be an active member of a research project that will track the variation in natural frequency that occurs on a set of short/medium span highway bridges. The project will involve collecting data on the bridge response to ambient traffic and subsequently developing suitable data normalisation procedures to remove environmental effects such as temperature.
The role will focus on (a) modal testing and long term monitoring on the set of bridges and (b) writing computer algorithms to implement a series of different data normalisation procedures to interpret the bridge data.
