This is a key role in helping to ensure fire safety across the University. You will be working as part of a small team, consisting of an Estates manager (Fire Safety) and the Assistant Estates Manager (Fire Safety). You will be responsible for fire safety in a wide range of premises, including teaching / research premises, public premises including leisure facilities, film theatre, bars, etc., sleeping accommodation and listed buildings with special architectural and historic interest.
You will provide specialist advice to maintain and improve the standard of fire safety measures in University buildings, increasing fire safety awareness among staff and students. You will assist with reviewing and implementing Fire Safety Strategies and you will be responsible for the delivery of fire safety awareness and fire warden training. This is a fixed-term position, available until 31 October 2022.
