The Centre for Geographic Information Science and Geomatics falls within the School of Natural and Built Environment which covers the well-established disciplines of Architecture, Civil & Structural Engineering, Geography, Planning,Archaeology & Palaeoecology.

The Centre for GIS and Geomatics specialises in spatial digital data acquisition, mapping and analysis, geomatic research and GIS customised training and teaching.
You will be joining a highly creative and cutting edge team who are regarded as experts within the GIS field. This team has strong relationships in academia, industry, government and non-governmental sectors. The team have varied and diverse research interests where they promote GI research across the University conducting collaborative research and teaching.
The successful candidate will be based in the Centre for GIS and Geomatics and as a Senior GI Scientist will support research, teaching and assist with field projects in the discipline of Geography and across the School with their research and teaching projects/programmes. The research is grouped into three clusters: Culture & Society, Environmental Change &Resilience and Sustainable Built Environment.
