Job description
STATSports was founded in 2008 by Alan Clarke and Sean O'Connor, building on several years of successful business activities in sports science and related activities. STATSports has quickly grown to become the world's leading sports science service for elite sports teams across Soccer, Rugby, Basketball, American football and Hockey. In 2012, STATSports
released their Viper system; the main component of which was the Viper Pod, which is worn on a daily basis by elite athletes at many of the world's biggest sports teams to monitor their performance. Their services are focused on player performance management and injury prevention and they offer a full turnkey managed service to major clubs.
STATSports is currently a world leader in providing wearable monitoring technology to a large number of elite teams and federations across the globe. The company has a large body of expertise in the area of sports science, analytics and performance. We wish to recruit a highly skilled and motivated graduate to work in STATSports in collaboration with Queen's University Belfast for 24 months. Through this Knowledge Transfer Partnership, STATSports seeks to develop and commercialise analytics for on-field sports performance analysis in team-based sports. This will enrich the STATSports product through a suite of analytics features, and will embed industry leading data science expertise in the company. The postholder will be based in STATSports Ltd, Newry.
