The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Technician (Bioinformatics) in the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research (PGJCCR).
The successful candidate will support MDBS researchers in the implementation of non-routine genomics assays, as well as creating data-processing and analysis pipelines to enable data interpretation. They will develop and validate genomic methodologies and protocols for research use within the PGJCCR, and the wider School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences. They will also contribute to teaching and research supervision within the School and will contribute to manuscript and grant writing.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
