The Institute for Global Food Security at Queen's is leading the world in addressing one of the greatest global challenges - how to ensure the safety of our food.
Our researchers track and prevent contamination of crops, animal feeds and foods. They help detect fraud along the supply chain and develop advanced food provenance systems, help to improve the quality of crops and the health of farm animals and their resistance to disease.
The Research Assistant will be an active member of the IValueFood project research team and assist in the planning and delivery of research so that the overall research objectives of the project are met. The successful candidate will be involved in setting up a decision making framework, digital platforms and capturing and recording data generated from novel approaches to be used to engage next generation audiences: students from primary school to university.
