Queen’s University Belfast is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Project Manager for the Community Archaeology Programme NI (CAPNI).
The principal purpose of this role is to lead the development phase of the Community Archaeology Programme Northern Ireland (CAPNI) which aims to inspire and engage diverse communities across NI with their local archaeological heritage.
Working alongside staff in The Centre for Community Archaeology (CCA), based in the School of Natural and Built Environment at Queen’s, you will engage key stakeholders across the heritage, community and health sectors to design and plan a programme of activities to enable the public to learn about, appreciate and participate in archaeological excavations, field surveys and heritage festivals. Working within the CCA team, you will help to produce a range of key documents to support the submission of a delivery phase proposal to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, including detailed activity and engagement plans, budget forecasts and evaluation plans.

This post is available full-time until 31 July 2023 with a further 3 years at 0.5 FTE subject to funding for delivery phase being approved. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
