The Global Innovation Institute (GII) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive ECIT’s research and innovation in Secure Connected Intelligence into multiple market sectors, as part of a £58M investment.
The initiative aims to transform Northern Ireland’ digital economy by substantially increasing both the volume and range of digital innovation taking place within the region, with an initial focus on driving a Digital One Health agenda.
The GII will build on QUB’s Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology - ECIT’s world leading core expertise across cyber security, advanced wireless technologies, data science/analytics and scalable computing. It will provide a novel multi-disciplinary environment, by combining these areas of strength with internationally recognised excellence in food security/sustainability and health sciences (One Health).
As a Business Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities for research and innovation collaboration that draws on the ‘secure connected intelligence’ expertise in ECIT and promote the capability and capacity within GII and the University to potential partners. This role will proactively build new partnerships, secure new business and funded research opportunities, and develop collaborative relationships in support of the GII Health theme with industry, public sector stakeholders, national and international research organisations and government bodies. You will also work with various stakeholders including the GII Delivery Team within the ECIT Business Development Team and colleagues across multiple Schools and Faculties, to drive engagement in the Health sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and be at the forefront of a progressive and exciting initiative.
