Job description
The Cochrane lab are recruiting a post-doctoral researcher to be an active member of the research team and assist in the development of tools to study glycolipid-processing enzymes. The successful candidate will work on a highly interdisciplinary project involving the multi-step chemical synthesis of complex lipids and their characterization through
a variety of analytical approaches, expression and purification of bacterial glycolipid-processing enzymes and their use in the enzymatic synthesis of glycolipids. The post holder will be responsible for the planning and delivery of research activity within the project so that the overall research objectives of the project are met. The post is funded for 6 months by Queen's University Belfast and is available from 1st August 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.
