Job description
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of a very few Nursing and Midwifery Schools in the country to be awarded a prestigious Silver Athena SWAN Award, an accolade which they achieved in 2012 in recognition of good practice in recruiting, retaining and promoting women in Science and higher education.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery conducts world-class
research leading to improvements in health and well-being in partnership with health professionals, leading charities, patients and carers.
Our research involves clinical partners and community stakeholders in co-designed studies to ensure our research impacts positively in healthcare and society and is widely cited in international clinical care guidelines relating to chronic illness and child health.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen's University Belfast has achieved the highly prized position of being a 'Global Top Fifty' department in the 2018 QS World University Rankings.
You will be an active member of the PRECISE research project assisting in the planning and delivery of an exercise programme for patients with pancreatic cancer undergoing chemotherapy whilst ensuring that the study complies with the necessary ethics governance.
You will also assist in the co-ordination of a project steering group and an advisory board
that have ongoing involvement in the study.
