The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics (HAPP) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow.
The successful applicant will support the ESRC-funded ‘International Public Policy Observatory’ (IPPO), directed by Prof. Joanne Chataway (PI, UCL) and Prof Muiris MacCarthaigh (CI, QUB), engaging with civil and public service bodies in Northern Ireland to identify evidence needs and liaising with the IPPO team across the UK; and to work on related research outputs and grant applications with Prof MacCarthaigh. Your work will benefit from excellent access to senior civil and public servants, public organisations, third-sector organisations and academic networks.

This post is fixed term until 31 December 2024. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
The intention is for this post to be a full-time role (1.0FTE) for the first year and 0.4FTE for the second year, but final arrangements will be negotiable with the successful candidate, equivalent to 0.7FTE across the 24-month period.
