We are seeking to recruit a Digital Preservation Officer to join our well-established team in the McClay Library.
The award-winning McClay library opened in 2009 and is situated at the heart of the University’s main campus. The McClay library offers 24-hour opening during term-time, and provides students, staff and visitors with access to over 2,000 study spaces, 33 group study rooms and a student lounge. It provides access to almost 1.2 million books and e-books and houses the University’s Special Collections and Archives. There are around 6,000 visitors to the Library each day during term-time.
As the Digital Preservation Officer, you will develop the Digital Asset Register and support the set up and implementation of the Digital Preservation Platform. You will help deliver a programme of advocacy and training and ensure staff are aware of digital preservation.

This post is fixed term for 1 year. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
