The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is a research-intensive School delivering internationally recognised educational programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and with recognised research capability spanning across the Energy, Design, Manufacturing and Materials domains. With over 100 staff and c.1000 UG/PGT and PGR students, there is a strong, vibrant community of academic, administrative, technical and research staff working together to deliver the next generation of industry ready graduates alongside new innovations to support growth in the engineering sector. With strong industrial links with a range of national and international companies including Rolls Royce, Spirit Aerosystems, Wrightbus and Artemis Technologies, the School has invested heavily in providing state-of-the-art infrastructure and will play a central role in the development and delivery of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (https://www.brcd-innovation.co.uk/projects/amic) one of five innovation projects supported through the through the £850m Belfast Regional City Deal investment.
This is an exciting time for the School and for a candidate with demonstrable leadership experience and proven success in administrative and operational management to take on the role of School Manager. The School Manager will be a key part of the School Senior Leadership team influencing the strategic direction, cultural leadership and management of the School with responsibility to drive change and implement continuous improvement.
