Job description
We are seeking a highly-motivated post-doctoral researcher for a fiveyear period in the field of Socio-Technical Transition Analysis to jointhe Sir William Wright Technology Centre (W-Tech) at Queen's UniversityBelfast. As part of the Centre, theresearcher will support activities in a newly funded EPSRC ProsperityPartnership, StreetZero, aimed
at exploring the implications of a move towardsincreasing electrification of bus vehicles. The researcher will work in amultidisciplinary team with researchers from vehicle engineering, civilengineering and policy to explore the consequences of a shift to a fullyelectrified public transport system on the complex technical, cultural, social,economic and behavioural interactions in the system. The researcher willdevelop models to understand the capacity of the existing public transport systemhas for change, and explore how policy measures could be introduced to createopportunities for further development. This post offers an exciting opportunityfor someone with a passion for working at the cutting edge of developingsolutions for the next generation of urban mobility.
