To be a highly productive,ambitious and collaborative member of the Infection Biology research team ledby Prof Jose Bengoechea in the Centre for Experimental Medicine. The positionwill involve working as part of a MRC-funded research programme incollaboration with AstraZeneca that seeks to establish first-in-kindhost-directed therapeutics against
the human pathogen
Klebsiella
pneumoniae
.The project, at the interphase of microbiology and immunology, will utilise invitro, and in vivo models of infection techniques and is based in a highlycollaborative team. The post is a senior role in the team and as such,successful applicants will have responsibilities in independent research,supervision, planning, day-to-day lab management, collaborations and outreach.The post is suited to a highly ambitious individual, preferably with previouspostdoctoral experience, and is available for 2 years.
