The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Lecturer (Education) Postgraduate Pharmacy Practice.
The School of Pharmacy has an ambitious five-year strategy for development of education and research, building on our excellent reputation. Currently we are in the global top 100 in the QS World University rankings by subject. Moreover, our University 2030 Strategy aims to provide a transformative student experience including flexible and broad-based learning opportunities and innovative modules. Our taught postgraduate portfolio of programmes for pharmacists (Certificate, Diploma and MSc) aims to enhance therapeutic knowledge, clinical skills, competencies, and research skills. The flexible study pathway of distance learning means that students can fit their studies around their work and family commitments.
It is important that pharmacists have opportunities to progress and take on enhanced clinical roles and responsibilities as part of multi-disciplinary teams, particularly as patients’ health needs are becoming more diverse and complex, and healthcare systems are evolving.
In light of this, and our University Strategy, we are seeking to appoint a member of staff who will direct education and the delivery of contemporary clinical teaching and assessment for our taught postgraduate portfolio of programmes for pharmacists.
