Information Services provides the digital campus and Library Resources to support teaching, research and innovation for all the University's students, staff and visitors. Our primary objective is to provide the highest quality user-facing services and associated enabling functions.
The post holder will work as part of a team, providing the audio visual solutions to University staff with significant input into the design and specification of teaching environments and specialist facilities. You will be providing high quality technical and operational support for University staff using learning and teaching resources and facilities in schools and over 250 centrally booked teaching rooms.
The successful candidate must have:
OND/ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in a subject related to electronics or computing.
At least three years recent relevant work experience in a professional Audio Visual (AV) environment.
Demonstrable experience of designing, installing, maintaining and supporting AV solutions.
In-depth knowledge of and experience of supporting video conference systems and web-based conferencing.
Experience of providing user based computer support.
In-depth knowledge of and experience of using digital and analogue AV equipment, in particular presentation systems.
Experience of maintaining and supporting networked PC's, onsite and remotely.
