Following an extensive redevelopment and investment programme in student and staff accommodation of over GBP 160m, Queen's Accommodation, which employs over 100 staff, is now the largest provider of purpose built managed student accommodation in Belfast with 3484 places, suited to the needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students. We are going through a very exciting time and are looking for the right people who are ready to take the next step up in their career to fill important front of house reception and customer advisor posts.
To work as part of the Queen's Accommodation reception and reservation team for student and staff accommodation, as well as conference/bed and breakfast business out of term. We are looking for experienced, outgoing personalities who have a flair and attitude to provide courteous, efficient and professional customer service in a face-to-face role and in correspondence. They will join a highly motivated team of 20 like-minded experienced professionals working in rotation across three accommodation locations. They will work in a shift rota, which covers the reception opening hours of 7.30am -10.00pm Monday to Sunday, 365 days per year.
In recognition of the flexibility required, a shift premium of 18% is paid in addition to the salary (no overnight working required). The salary scale for this post is from GBP 18,342 to GBP 21,236 PLUS the shift allowance for each shift worked as detailed above.
Willingness to take an active part in an extensive booking systems and on the job induction training programme is an essential requirement.

The successful candidate must have:

Either academic and/or vocational qualification e.g. GCSE, O Level, NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject/area (or equivalent)
*
Minimum of two years' relevant experience in a similar accommodation, reception/bookings office environment for example, a hotel, conferencing venue, further education or higher education environment.
*
Evidence of good numeracy and literacy skills.
*
IT literacy with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
