The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Assistant.
The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge project where you will be at the forefront of designing Metal Organic Framework (MOF) loaded catheters that have the potential to transform a wide range of medical applications requiring catheter-based delivery of devices and drugs or drainage of fluids. As a key member of our team, you will work in close collaboration with the esteemed University of St. Andrew's to create innovative computational models and experimental methods to develop catheters that can precisely adjust the release rate of Nitric Oxide (NO), opening up new possibilities for patient care.
As a successful candidate, you will have the unique opportunity to enrol for a PhD qualification. You will also have the chance to supervise and collaborate with fellow researchers, leveraging your leadership skills to drive the success of the team. Your planning and organisational skills will be required as you strategize and execute experiments, while your communication skills will be important for engaging in outreach activities to share the project's findings with the wider scientific community.

This is a fixed term post available for 36 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
