Job description
The Wellcome Trust-Wolfson Northern Ireland Clinical Research Facility (NICRF) was established in 2013 with funding from the Wellcome Trust and Wolfson Foundation to provide state-of-the-art facilities to support clinical research. The NICRF is a joint venture with Queen's University, Ulster University, Public Health Agency and Belfast Health and
Social Care Trust.
The Research Assistants will be a member of the Northern Ireland Clinical Research Facility team to support and promote the practice of clinical research in the NICRF, especially for Ophthalmology and Vision related studies. The successful candidates will coordinate a portfolio of supported clinical trials and other high-quality research studies. Responsibilities will include the delivery of a study which may include screening and recruitment, consenting, care, management and follow-up of a caseload of patients in clinical trials and research studies, adhering to local and national regulatory research and professional guidelines, policies and standard operating procedures.
These posts are part time and working patterns will be agreed with successful candidates and are based in the NICRF at Belfast City Hospital.
