The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy & Politics at Queen's University Belfast is expanding and seeking to appoint the following positions available from 1st September 2019:
Lecturer in International Relations with a focus on Asia.(International Relations of the Asia-Pacific Region; the Indian sub-continent;and/or China's emerging international role). (Equivalent to Assistant Professor Tenure Track)
Lecturer in International Relations (Equivalent to Assistant Professor Tenure Track)
Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in International Relations (Equivalent to Associate Professor Tenure Track)
The successful candidates will have a track record of world-class research of the highest international standards to contribute to the research culture within the School. They will contribute to the development of the School's undergraduate, Masters, and PhD programmes in International Relations.
We welcome applications from candidates with research interests in any area of International Relations, which will broaden our coverage in new areas, or strengthen our existing research specialisms. Candidates will contribute to teaching and research in areas which map on to our expanding graduate programmes, including our MA in International Relations, our MA in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice, our MA in Violence, Terrorism and Security and our MA in Global Security and Borders.
We wish to attract new colleagues who will contribute to our vibrant research culture. In addition to our research focused on International Relations, we have a strong tradition of interdisciplinary work within the School and across the university with our existing links with such areas as Geography, Law and Sociology. Many of our International Relations team are also fellows of the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute For Global Peace, Security And Justice.
