Job description
We wish to recruit a highly skilled and motivated graduate to work in SiSaf in collaboration with Queen's University Belfast for 24 months. Through this Knowledge Transfer Partnership, SiSaf seeks to develop formulations to reduce the frequency of intravitreal injections with targeting and controlled release of known drugs for treatment of age related
macular degeneration (AMD) to reduce and prevent blindness. The postholder will develop both industry and academic skills in biotechnology, drug delivery and pre-clinical molecular pathology in in vitro and in vivo systems. The postholder will be based between both the SiSaf research laboratories (Jordanstown, Newtownabbey) and Queen's University laboratories, with meetings at SiSaf's offices, Innovation Centre, Catalyst Inc, Belfast.
