Join us as the Director of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility, a pivotal role at the heart of our commitment to Belfast and Northern Ireland. As a key player in implementing Strategy 2030, you will spearhead the Civic, Social Responsibility, and Economic Development pillar, steering a dynamic Directorate covering:
Reporting to the Vice-President of Strategic Engagement and External Affairs, you'll be a senior member of the Management Group, working closely with the Director of Strategic Communications and the Director of Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy.
You will act as the SRO for the implementation of the Social Charter and the Civic University Project. Initially, over the first two years of the post, You will be responsible for developing the new Directorate and building the new structure which will involve recruiting new staff and putting in place new structures for delivery. You will also be responsible for supporting both the Vice-Chancellor and the VP of Strategic Engagement and External Affairs in leading the University's engagement with government and the political parties, enhancing the University’s reputation with business and industry while coordinating the institutional approach to community and civic engagement and the arts and culture sectors. You will lead and implement the Social Responsibility plan, working alongside key internal and external stakeholders to enhance the positive contribution of the University to the community and third sector.
