The School of Biological Sciences together with The Institute for Global Food Security (IGFS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional academic at either Reader or Senior Lecturer level in Parasitology.
The School of Biological Sciences together with (IGFS) provides a vibrant and integrated research and enterprise environment. We are internationally recognised for our high quality research and are number 1 in the UK for research excellence in the UK REF 2021 (UoA 6).

In line with our ambitious strategy, the School and Institute are seeking to appoint a Reader or Senior Lecturer in Parasitology to further enhance our excellence, enterprise and reputation and to underpin our strategic commitment to interlinking teaching and research in the area of Parasitology.
The successful candidate who will fit with the strategic vision of the School and Institute will be expected to establish and lead independent, competitively-funded research programmes in their field of expertise and contribute to teaching a variety of aspects of the curriculum. They will support the School and Institute in providing high-quality student support in line with our teaching and learning strategy, fully utilising digital innovative platforms.
