The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Facilities Manager for our Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility.
The successful candidate will manage our top-class suite of instrumentation, including a brand-new, EPSRC-funded solid state NMR instrument. Working alongside our academic and technical staff, you will make an important contribution to both teaching and research activities in the School, including participating in grant applications and publication of research outputs.
We are looking for a PhD-qualified individual with a background in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences, with emphasis on solid-state NMR. You will have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to provide clear advice to a range of users on complex technical topics. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-looking multidisciplinary team and contribute to innovative research in the areas of advanced functional materials and biomaterials, energy storage, sustainable processes, and sensors for environmental and healthcare applications.
