Clinical Lecturer (Education) in Psychiatry

Job description

You will strengthen the clinical academic base of Psychiatry within the Centre for Medical Education, School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) and the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT).  You will contribute to the delivery of  QUB's Strategy 2030 and undertake significant teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engage in scholarly activity and contribute to Centre/School administration/outreach activity. You will also deliver and enhance clinical service in the Acute Mental Health Inpatient Centre.

About the person:

The essential qualification requirements are:

  • Primary Medical Degree
  • Higher degree (Masters or equivalent in a relevant subject area) Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Be on or be eligible to be on the Specialist Register (Psychiatry) via:
    • CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview date)
    • CESR
    • European Community Rights     
    • Post registration qualification (MRCPsych)
