The School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen’s University Belfast is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Mathematics to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, particularly in the areas of Applied Mathematics and statistics. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team of academics dedicated to excellence in education, research, and student support. The School delivers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes designed to equip students with the analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills needed for successful careers in academia, industry, and beyond.
The postholder will play a key role in supporting the School’s teaching strategy through the development and delivery of innovative learning and assessment methods. This will include delivering lectures and tutorials, supervising undergraduate research projects, and contributing to computer-based teaching and assessment. The successful candidate will also engage in course administration, student advising, and outreach activities that promote engagement with the wider community.
Working closely with colleagues across the School, the Teaching Fellow will help maintain a dynamic and supportive learning environment, ensuring that all students benefit from an engaging, inclusive, and research informed educational experience. This post is available for 12 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
