Student and Campus Life (SCL) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Gaming Café Manager at our new development on the Lisburn Road, Belfast. 

Created for our students and the general public this exciting new facility combines ESports and traditional board games in a state of the art development with café and retail facility’s.  

Your role will involve day to day management of the building, building relationships and community with our customer base and supervising a team of multi-disciplinary staff.

This is a full-time position on campus.  The position involves working in an irregular shift pattern, 5 over 7 days.  A 18% shift allowance will be paid.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:   

• Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. NVQ Level 3, A levels in relevant subject plus significant relevant experience of managing a busy retail/café at the required level OR substantial relevant experience as outlined below   
• Relevant experience, to include:

• • Experience of recruitment, training, induction and line management of a range of staff
  • Budget management experience
  • Experience of managing financial transactions (to include EPOS till system)
  • Visual merchandising experience
  • Events management experience
