The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Bioinformatics Technician within the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research.
The post-holder will work alongside the Precision Medicine Centre of Excellence's (PMC) Bioinformatics and Scientific Leads to develop, validate and maintain data analysis pipelines and algorithms to analyse genomic information from cancer specimens, in the context of clinical studies and clinical trials. The PMC provides an integrated cancer diagnostic service, encompassing high throughput genomics, digital pathology and big data analytics in a fully integrated fashion.

This is a fixed term post, available until 31 October 2024. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
