Queen's Management School is seeking to strengthen further its academic reputation by appointing a Professor of Accounting to: provide research leadership in line with the School’s research strategy; teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and contribute to the School’s administration and external engagement activities.
This is an important position within the Accounting Group in Queen’s Management School. At a time of growth, the successful candidate has the potential to shape and strengthen the future direction of the Group from both a research and teaching perspective, including enhancing the opportunities for PhD study. Moreover, the supportive research environment enables attendance at national/international conferences and facilitates a sustained track record of published research.
You will be working with colleagues whose research is internationally renowned for excellence and high societal impact and will have an opportunity to teach and supervise our excellent undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research students.
As the successful candidate, you will have:
• PhD in Accounting (any specialisation) or related discipline;• Recognised excellence and reputation in subject specialism;• Sustained publication record of international excellence in field of specialisation;• Experience of teaching and assessment in Accounting at University level;• Demonstrable ability to contribute to successful, sustained postgraduate student supervision as primary supervisornormally at PhD level; and• Substantial experience of providing academic leadership in Accounting at a strategic level.
