We seek to appoint a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to primarily contribute to our research development of AI Models for Autonomous Vehicles, as well as other relevant research activities within our research group, Connected and Cooperative Autonomous Systems.
The successful applicant will become a key member of a well-established and highly experienced team of researchers and academics working collaboratively with our industry and international partners, including major European Companies in the Automotive, ICT, and Quantum Technologies Sectors. Therefore, the appointee will have a unique opportunity to develop their professional skills and build strong collaborations within the industry and academia. QUB also hosts some of the most advanced AI computing and Autonomous Vehicle Research Facilities, which will provide an unparalleled opportunity for hands-on experience with real-world systems.
The post holder is expected to conduct cutting-edge research in the use of advanced AI Tools and QUB’s state of-the-art Research Autonomous Vehicle platform to collaborate with our industry partners. This will entail developing both digital twins and physical proof-of-concept models, as well as conducting field tests.

This post is available for 2 years. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
