The Queen's University Belfast KN Cheung SK Chin InterSim Centre prepares the next generation of healthcare professionals for the complex realities of modern clinical practice. The School of Nursing and Midwifery in conjunction with InterSim are seeking to appoint an Intersim Midwifery Fellow for a 12-month period to make a significant contribution to the development of interprofessional education and teaching in our simulation centre. This full-time post is available to a Registered Midwife and represents a unique opportunity for a suitable applicant to gain skills in simulation-based education in a dynamic and interprofessional learning environment.
The post-holder will work with the Medical, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing Intersim Fellows to collaborate on the development of interprofessional simulation activities across the Faculty of Medicine Health and Life Sciences (FMHLS) therefore, post-registration experience of simulation is a pre-requisite. The post holder will also be expected to support teaching in conjunction with the Professional Leads for Simulation in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Personal development is expected and will be supported in the context of midwifery education by contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery simulation-based education and associated educational activities.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
