Queen’s University Belfast has an integral role in a Northern Ireland nanotechnology consortium, which has been awarded £43m by UKRI as part of a £63m industry-academic programme to develop new technology for medical devices, communication and data storage.
As part of this exciting project, The School of Mathematics & Physics is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to the post of Programme Manager to lead the coordination and management of the UKRI Strength in Places Fund (SIPF) ‘Smart Nano NI’ programme.
The Programme Manager will play a pivotal role with the day-to-day management and administration of the SIPF award, providing dedicated professional services support to ensure the programme successfully delivers its aims reporting to the Programme Executive Board. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive planning, coordination, leadership and delivery of day-to-day project management and administrative support to the Smart Nano NI Strength in Places Fund project.
This is a unique opportunity to pioneer the definition and development of a world leading innovation centre. We are looking for an individual who has knowledge and experience of managing a range of stakeholders and leading industry-focussed programmes. You will also have excellent project management and financial reporting experience, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

This is a fixed term contract - in line with project duration.
Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
